About
We chat about your needs. I make a bunch of stuff. I send it to you. You tell me what's cool and what's not. Rinse and repeat. Creative, collaborative, practical.
Statement
I have loved making music my entire life. Such a wonderful part of my job is to work with creative people and tell a story in a collaborative setting — there are choices that need to get made that I wouldn't make in a vacuum. Some of my favorite music and art is a result of it.
Biography
Born in Boston, raised north of San Francisco. Piano at 3, drums at 10. Jazz band opened the door to Miles Davis, Tony Williams, Herbie Hancock — and the bass player turned me on to Rush. Practiced drums three hours a day. Studied Neuroscience & Music at UCSD. Started composing at piano and guitar. Bought my first Moog. Started scoring film.
Some of my favorite moments have been when an editor drops a piece of my music into a timeline and something magical happens — sound and image aligning into something that couldn't have been planned. That's what I'm after.
